Fast and secure inspection
With the MBX platform and our software, you can easily test SCADA and substation automation systems (SAS) in a highly secure way. The mobile solution allows you to perform quick assessments and temporary monitoring, e.g. during commissioning. The powerful hardware provides you with the performance needed to reliably simulate and test both the whole communication network of the SAS and intelligent electronic devices (IEDs) in detail. StationScout, IEDScout, and the cybersecurity monitoring and intrusion detection software, StationGuard can be executed on MBX.
Simple yet powerful
Unmatched performance
MBX comes with a quad-core processor providing the necessary performance by demanding digital substation applications. The powerful hardware forms the foundation for a precise simulation of all IEDs within complex SAS while allowing you to visualize the entire system.
Cybersecurity from the ground up
MBX features a cryptoprocessor, Secure and Measured Boot, as well as full-disk encryption. With secure production and development processes, the dedicated test set ensures the highest level of system security during testing. IEC 62443 certification is in progress.
A flexible and secure connection
Four SFP slots allow you to connect fiber and Ethernet ports securely to different network segments of your SAS. The control ports in the back reliably isolate your PCs from the system under test. Your computer doesn’t require administrator rights to set up IP addresses for an IED simulation.
Optional DIN rail installation
The new DIN rail option makes it easy to mount the MBX2 in your panels for permanent installations. Both AC and DC power supplies are available.

IEDScout
Gain detailed insight into the IEC 61850 functions of intelligent electronic devices (IEDs). IEDScout visualizes their data objects and attributes, and observes communication activities precisely.
StationGuard
Combines cybersecurity and functional monitoring in substations. With the Intrusion Detection System, you can identify cyber threats, prohibited activities, and various malfunctions in the SAS.
