Since its inception in 2010, the OMICRON Magazine has been a cornerstone of innovation and knowledge sharing in the field of electrical engineering and cybersecurity. With a total of 29 issues published to date, the magazine has evolved significantly over the years, reflecting the dynamic nature of the industry and the growing needs of its global readership.
The very first issue of the OMICRON Magazine was launched to commemorate our 25th anniversary. Initially available only in English and German, the magazine has expanded its linguistic reach, offering editions in Spanish since 2012 and in French since 2018. This multilingual approach helps us reach more customers around the world reading our Magazine.
A notable milestone in the magazine's journey was the redesign introduced in Issue 02/2017. This new design brought a fresh, modern look to the publication, enhancing its visual appeal and making it more reader friendly. The redesign also marked a renewed focus on delivering high-quality content that is both informative and engaging.
In early 2023, we called on our readers to help us act more environmentally friendly by opting to read the magazine online and cancel their print subscriptions. Thanks to their support, we successfully reduced our print orders by over 8000 copies. This collective effort not only helps us minimize our environmental footprint but also demonstrates the strong community spirit among our readers.
Of course, like any long-running publication, we've had our share of small mishaps along the way. We are, after all, only human, and mistakes happen. There have been times when we've crafted beautifully written headlines referencing a particular season, only to realize that it's a completely different season on the other side of the world. And for those with the print edition, if you take another look at Issue 02/2023 on page 25, you might find a little hidden Easter egg related to our recently launched CMC 500. These moments remind us to laugh at ourselves and appreciate the journey of continuous improvement.
